Yes! Ruleezy is completely free to use. There are no hidden fees or premium tiers. Our mission is to make tax compliance accessible to everyone.

Ruleezy is designed for:

• Freelancers and contractors
• Landlords with rental income
• Anyone self-employed in the UK

No. Ruleezy helps you track your records and estimate your tax, but you are responsible for filing your own Self Assessment with HMRC. We provide the tools to make this easier, but we don't submit returns on your behalf.

Our tax estimates use official HMRC 2024/25 rates and are designed to be accurate for basic self-employment scenarios. However, they are estimates only. For complex situations (multiple income sources, investments, etc.), consult a qualified accountant.

You can claim expenses that are "wholly and exclusively" for business use:
• Fuel and mileage (45p/mile for first 10,000 miles)
• Tools and equipment
• Phone and internet bills (business portion)
• Professional fees and subscriptions
• Office supplies and software

Always keep receipts as proof!

Yes! Ruleezy works on all devices. Simply use your phone's camera to snap a photo of your receipt and upload it directly through the Documents page.

You can import transactions via CSV upload. Open Banking integration is planned for a future update. For now, download your bank statement as CSV and upload it through the Import page.

Your Record Quality score measures how well-documented your records are. A low score (green) means you have good evidence for your claims. A high score (red) means missing receipts or incomplete records that HMRC might question.

Yes. All data is encrypted and stored securely. We never sell or share your information with third parties. You can delete your account and all data at any time.

Yes! You can export your transactions, documents, and dashboard summary as CSV files at any time. Look for the "Export CSV" buttons throughout the app.

After signing up, Ruleezy sends a confirmation link to the email address you registered with. If you don't see it in your inbox:

• Check your Junk, Spam or Promotions folder — email filters sometimes move it there automatically.
• The email is sent from [email protected] — adding this address to your contacts can help future emails land in your inbox.
• If you still can't find it, log in and use the "Resend confirmation email" button shown in the yellow banner at the top of your dashboard.
